The following was posted several years wodr and I noticed a large number of responses from users having the same problem. Here inI am also having this issue. I work for a company that uses “VM” technology where our Win10 is on servers and we log onto the VM server to access our Microsoft Office software such as word and excel. Given this background, I am using Word and noticed this issue several months ago while developing a small 30×5 table. When my document is opened, typing is normal but after about 5 minutes typing slows down considerably.

If I do a “save” then typing is normal for about 5 minutes and then slows down again. Being concerned about “formatting”, I microsoft word 2016 running slow free download the document as a “txt” file then started a downloa document and created a 30×5 table.
