In 2008 I discovered that ancestors bring peace and add meaning to our lives. But how could I find them? I had had a long life of uncertainty, questioning why I could not connect with my sisters and cousins. Why? What’s wrong with me? I grew up in an orphanage until I was six when my father took me home, where I discovered that I had two older sisters. I left my father’s home at fourteen. No matter how many times I tried to build relationships with my sisters, I ended up with painful experiences. After a session with Brian Weiss, author of “Many Lives, Many Masters” I found the answer. I recognized my connection with ancestors far down the line. How far down? No idea. However, that discovery inspired the painting “Ancestors“!
